Cybersecurity Network Analyst
Job Description
MANTECH is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Network Analyst to support insider threat software integrity and threat analysis. The position is based onsite in Fort Meade, MD and supports continuous monitoring of network activity, security/data integrity processes, and software development and testing activities. The role requires TS/SCI with Poly clearance.

Responsibilities
- Maintain the integrity, security, and availability of the Insider Threat software tool by organizing and formatting threat analysis reports, and identifying events or incidents that need follow-up action.
- Implement new software or software modifications to align with design and/or performance requirements.
- Administer, maintain, develop, and implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of software and the reports generated.
- Monitor various network logs to ensure proper operation.
- Support development of long- and short-term analysis and design requirements, including database design and related development, implementation, and analysis tasks.
- Perform regularly scheduled database backups to prevent loss of collected data, test backups to ensure restore capability, and execute baseline audits.
- Develop simple database queries and identify and report software bugs or defects for correction.
- Assist the Government in building and deploying software and enhancements.
- Provide training and perform minor modifications to existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve insider threat software performance.
- Conduct software testing for new releases or upgrades and for policies to ensure compatibility with enterprise applications.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections of software operations, hardware integration, and systems logs.
- Monitor data repositories, identify performance issues, and resolve issues related to Insider Threat software components and/or the organizational intranet.
- Maintain data files and control procedures for networked computers or microcomputers linked to a host workstation or mainframe, including maintaining system security and data integrity.
- Assign passwords, monitor use of resources, back up files as required, and coordinate with management to define requests for information.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of Cybersecurity Threat Analysis experience in:
- Cybersecurity techniques and Network Analysis
- Insider Threat Analysis software
- 1+ year with Splunk, including creating knowledge objects, developing robust queries/searches, and producing reports and charts based on query results.
- Experience with TCP/IP fundamentals, Windows Operating Systems and supporting Office applications, and real-world incident management and incident response.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
- Ability to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets and office machinery.
- Constant operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery (for example, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer).
- Frequent communication with coworkers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
