Cybersecurity Incident Response & Threat Detection Analyst
Job Description
Support 24x7x365 cybersecurity monitoring and incident response for an enterprise network from DLA Land and Maritime in Columbus, OH.
Responsibilities
- Participate in 24x7x365 monitoring of SIEM and other cybersecurity monitoring tools to detect and respond to threats in the Enterprise Network Environment.
- Protect, monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to unauthorized activity through deliberate, alert-driven actions.
- Review logged events to identify trends that may indicate attack or compromise within the environment.
- Continuously monitor logs and traffic for Advanced Persistent Threats (APT) and low and slow attacks.
- Maintain threat awareness using intelligence resources, including Open Source Intelligence (OSINT).
- Provide technical analysis and sustainment support for enterprise cybersecurity tools and applications.
- Assist with implementation of Defense-In-Depth signatures and perimeter defense controls to reduce network threats.
Requirements
- 5 years relevant experience.
- 2 years experience performing root cause analysis of cybersecurity events and incidents.
- Working knowledge of at least two security tools, including: Firewall, IDS/IPS, Host based antivirus, Data loss prevention, Vulnerability Management, Forensics, Malware Analysis, Device Hardening.
- Ability to build scripts and tools to enhance threat detection and incident response capabilities.

Wage Information
- Target salary range: $100,000 - $160,000 per year
