Cybersecurity Engineer - AI Trainer

DataAnnotation seeks a cybersecurity engineer to help train AI systems by assessing AI generated security content, tackling security challenges, and delivering feedback that guides the evolution of AI security models. This contract role combines hands-on security work with remote flexibility, based in Colorado Springs, CO, and offers an hourly pay range of $50 to $100.

Responsibilities

• Review AI produced cybersecurity material such as threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques to verify real‑world accuracy and relevance.
• Create and solve security oriented technical problems used to train AI systems.
• Produce clear technical explanations and write security relevant code.
• Provide actionable feedback that directly shapes the next generation of AI security models.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role, including penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or related fields (government or military cyber operations included).
• Some programming experience is required; comfort navigating and patching a codebase is essential.
• Proficient English with strong writing skills (native or bilingual level).
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Cybersecurity certifications are a plus (examples include OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, and similar).
