Cybersecurity Engineer

This role supports government cybersecurity programs by providing Authorization and Accreditation (A&A), Risk Management Framework (RMF), and eMASS support, alongside security planning, compliance assessment, and vulnerability management activities.

Role Overview

The selected candidate will primarily perform A&A, RMF, and eMASS activities in support of existing and future programs. Work includes end-to-end RMF execution and coordination with relevant registration offices. The position also supports the configuration, installation, testing, and “turnup” of designed security solutions for production use in government networks.

Responsibilities

• Provide Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) support for new and existing customer enclaves.
• Conduct Security Impact Analyses and perform risk scoring for systems and connections.
• Review Security Technical Implementation Guideline (STIG) scores and recommend mitigations.
• Complete Security Compliance Assessment Program (SCAP) scans and analyze results.
• Follow RMF, NIST, and US Government guidelines for information security of network and system assets.
• Monitor and participate in Vulnerability Management (VM) for network and system assets.
• Create, revise, and review system security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSP), Plan of Actions and Milestones (POAMs), instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Tools, Techniques and Processes (TTPs), and policies.
• Provide security training and education to personnel.
• Partner with system and network administrators to guide cybersecurity best practices and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Develop and perform technical presentations for customers.
• Serve as a technical resource at customer briefings.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Act as technical security lead on projects.
• Travel to other locations or customer sites as necessary.
• Understand and adhere to all CACI Ethical and Compliance policies.
• Proactively support a safe work environment in accordance with CACI EH&S policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance (IA), or a relevant IT degree with significant coursework related to cybersecurity. Additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be used in lieu of the degree.
• 5+ years cybersecurity or information assurance experience, including at least two (2) years leading cyber or IA personnel or teams.
• Must meet DoD Approved 8570 certification requirements for IAT-III.
• TS/SCI Clearance.

Preferred

• Certifications and/or experience in Zero Trust.
• Knowledge of or experience with NETCOM RMF 2.0 requirements.
