Cybersecurity Analyst- Level 1 or 2
Job Description
Join a benefits-forward cybersecurity role on-site in Colorado Springs, at Schriever Air Force Base. Education for this role includes a Master’s degree, and a Top Secret clearance is required to participate.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate systems and networks within the environment to spot deviations from approved configurations, enclave policy, or local policy, using both passive compliance audits and active vulnerability assessments.
- Establish and maintain strict program controls to mitigate risk and support certification and accreditation activities.
- Provide support across processes such as analysis, coordination, security certification testing, documentation, investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology inspections, and periodic audits.
- Assist in implementing government policy (NISPOM, DCID 6-3), offer recommendations on tailoring processes, and participate in and document related activities.
- Analyze to validate security requirements and propose additional safeguards and controls as needed.
- Support formal Security Test and Evaluation ST&E required by accrediting authorities, including pre-test preparations, participation, results analysis, and reporting.
- Document outcomes of certification and accreditation activities, coordinate technical actions, and prepare system Security Plans while updating the Plan of Actions and Milestones POA&M.
- Periodically review system audits and monitor corrective actions until they are closed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 0 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent of 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Active Top Secret clearance required at time of application and ability to obtain SCI.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification.
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience; Master's degree with 0 years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
