Cybersecurity Analyst - AI Trainer

DataAnnotation is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Analyst - AI Trainer to support AI development by reviewing and improving security-related outputs. In this flexible, fully remote role, you will assess AI-generated cybersecurity content, validate it against real-world threat and defense scenarios, and provide feedback that helps refine how AI systems reason about security.

This position is available in Oregon as a remote opportunity, with pay for contracted work at $50 to $100 USD per hour. The work can be part-time or a primary focus, depending on the projects you choose to take on.

Role Summary

You will evaluate AI-produced security materials, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques. Your guidance will be used to shape the next generation of AI security models by improving accuracy, validity, and clarity.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated cybersecurity content for real-world accuracy and validity, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques.
• Design and solve security-focused technical problems used to train AI systems.
• Write clear technical explanations and security-relevant code.
• Provide feedback that directly shapes the next generation of AI security models.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or adjacent fields, including government or military cyber operations.
• Some coding experience is required, including comfort navigating and patching a codebase.
• Fluency in English (native or bilingual) with strong writing skills.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Certifications are a plus (examples: OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, and similar).
