Cybersecurity Analyst - AI Trainer

DataAnnotation offers a fully remote contract role for a Cybersecurity Analyst - AI Trainer. Based in Iowa with remote work options, this position supports flexible project-based scheduling and the ability to work from anywhere in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. You will help train AI security models by evaluating AI-generated cybersecurity content, solving security problems, and providing actionable feedback to shape future AI security systems. The hourly rate ranges from $50 to $100, with potential bonuses on select projects.

Responsibilities

• Assess AI-generated cybersecurity outputs such as threat analyses, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques for accuracy and real-world applicability.
• Develop and solve security-focused technical challenges used to train AI systems.
• Produce clear technical explanations and write security-relevant code.
• Provide feedback that informs the next generation of AI security models.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in roles such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or related fields, including government or military cyber operations.
• Some coding experience is required; comfortable navigating and patching a codebase.
• Fluent English with strong writing skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Cybersecurity certifications are a plus (examples include OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, and similar credentials).
