Cybersecurity Analyst

Parsons is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to help support the development of critical mission applications for the space community. Working as part of Parsons’ Space Operations directorate, you will contribute to system vulnerability assessments and help protect IT infrastructure in a fast-paced Agile environment.

This onsite role is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado and offers an annual salary range of USD 88,400 - 154,700.

What you will do

• Conduct system vulnerability assessments
• Use enterprise scan tools to discover issues and report findings to program owners
• Support development of critical mission applications for the space community as a member of the Space Operations directorate

What you will need

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related technical field, plus minimum 2 years of experience (additional relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree)
• Aptitude for maintaining Information Assurance policies and ensuring program security policy compliance
• Ability to maintain the integrity and security of systems running one or more operating systems, including Windows and Linux
• Practical experience implementing and executing patch management policies and procedures across multiple operating systems and hardware devices
• Knowledge of vulnerability management, risk management framework, networking protocols, cryptography, and secure communications methods
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, flexible environment and taking initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly
• US Citizenship required due to federal government contract requirements

Additional considerations

• Experience assessing and implementing STIGs / SRGs and familiarity with vendor hardening guidance
• Familiarity with enterprise security tools
• Technical understanding of network security, cryptography, and cloud security
• Cybersecurity certification (such as Security+ or CEH) is a plus
• Ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance
