Cybersecurity Administrator

D&B Engineers and Architects PC is hiring a Cybersecurity Administrator focused on Water Infrastructure & SCADA Security for onsite work in Woodbury, NY.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the designated cybersecurity lead for the water infrastructure system, maintaining and overseeing the cybersecurity program
• Ensure cybersecurity policies and procedures comply with applicable NYSDOH regulations
• Perform regular security assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability scans across water plant systems, pumping stations, and IoT monitoring devices
• Develop, maintain, and periodically update incident response, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans for water operations
• Lead tabletop exercises for plant operators
• Coordinate cybersecurity incident response activities, including regulatory reporting, post-incident investigations, and corrective action implementation
• Implement and support secure remote access for external engineering vendors, integrators, and internal operations using Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and jump servers
• Ensure critical water infrastructure aligns with applicable cybersecurity regulations, standards, and industry frameworks
• Serve as the primary liaison between IT security teams and water plant operators to execute system updates without jeopardizing public safety or water uptime
• Support preparation and compilation of cybersecurity-related reports, assessments, and emergency response documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field
• 0-5 years of professional cybersecurity experience; distinct focus on Operational Technology (OT) or Industrial Control Systems (ICS) is preferred
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and systems protection
• Experience conducting vulnerability assessments and risk analysis
• Strong understanding of network architecture, security monitoring, and incident response
• Excellent project management and communication skills
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external vendors

Compensation

• $55,000 – $70,000 per year
