Cyber Security Engineer
Job Description
Badger Fortress is hiring a Cyber Security Engineer (Networking Focus) to coordinate advanced cybersecurity technologies and threat intelligence across clients’ network infrastructure. This is a full-time, in-office role at the team’s Huntersville, NC headquarters, with a collaborative environment and a clear path for IT pros to grow into cybersecurity leaders.
You will work hands-on in diverse client environments, supporting real-world outcomes rather than only monitoring alerts. The team is also moving toward a unified operating model, shifting away from siloed team structures toward a more integrated Cyber Fusion Center approach.
Responsibilities

- Use RMM platforms (Atera, Datto, Ninja, etc.) to automate tasks, run scripts, install software, push GPOs, and manage patching.
- Support Microsoft 365 and related services including SharePoint, Intune, Autopilot, MFA, and conditional access policies.
- Manage mobile devices and work with backup solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Manage email systems, spam filters, and phishing simulation tools such as KnowBe4 or Breach Secure Now.
- Use PowerShell scripting and traditional system administration skills including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.

- Live in the Charlotte/Lake Norman area or be able to commute to Huntersville daily.
- This is a full-time, in-office role at Badger Fortress headquarters in Huntersville. Remote work is not available.
