Job Description

The senior Cloud Security Engineer role at Booz Allen Hamilton focuses on evaluating and implementing cloud security architectures, RMF and IA compliance, and security documentation for IC systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support the documentation, validation, assessment, and accreditation processes to ensure IT systems meet IA and security requirements.
  • Define the target state and risk thresholds with leadership and analyze actual state information to measure compliance.
  • Collaborate with leaders to codify strategic objectives into doctrine and procedures that enable objective achievement.
  • Evaluate computer applications, software, or specialized utilities to confirm alignment with software assurance best practices.
  • Recommend tools and capabilities based on research of the current environment and knowledge of on‑premise, cloud, and hybrid resources to address RMF security needs.
  • Apply technical expertise to work with IC clients to ensure standards meet information assurance and security requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience developing and evaluating security documentation, including system security plans, contingency plans, security procedures, and continuity of operations plans.
  • Experience with security architecture evaluations, guidance development, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment using the JIRA tracking tool.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within six months of hire.

Work Model

This position is onsite at Booz Allen facilities. Occasional in-person work at Booz Allen or customer facilities may be required in alignment with role needs and leadership expectations.

Compensation

Compensation is determined by factors including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements. The projected annualized salary range for this role is USD 86,800.00 to USD 198,000.00. The displayed estimate reflects typical range and constitutes one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation.

Clearance

Applicants selected will undergo a security review and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
