- Salary: USD 89,250 - 115,500 per yearly

Role Overview
The BMET Cybersecurity Specialist leads the technical execution of the medical device cybersecurity program. The role ensures all network-connected clinical technologies are inventoried, evaluated, safeguarded, and remediated in alignment with hospital, regulatory, and enterprise cybersecurity standards. It also functions as the primary technical authority for medical device cybersecurity controls, assessing emerging threats and delivering strategic guidance to strengthen the organization’s security posture.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the collection of Critical Data Elements (CDEs) within the CMMS system
- Contribute to IT projects with implications for networked medical devices
- Lead cybersecurity coordination with device manufacturers as needed
- Oversee investigations of alerts affecting medical devices in hospital and clinics
- Coordinate collection of manufacturer documentation and cybersecurity recommendations
- Support HTM cybersecurity education and awareness for HTM teams
- Mentor BMETs on foundational cybersecurity hygiene and practical controls
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of functional experience
- Knowledge of medical device networking, cybersecurity controls, and vulnerability management
