Job Description
Build your cybersecurity foundation while supporting a DoD customer in an onsite role in Fulton, MD. Tharros is hiring an entry-level Associate Cybersecurity Analyst I to assist senior engineers with vulnerability management and compliance work, with hands-on support across DISA STIGs and SRGs, RMF/eMASS documentation, and POA&M tracking.
What you’ll get to do
In this position, you will provide entry-level support to the cybersecurity team under the direct supervision of senior engineers. The work is designed to help you learn core cybersecurity processes while contributing to routine compliance and documentation tasks for the customer.
- Support routine cybersecurity activities under direct supervision, focusing on learning foundational processes and assisting with compliance documentation.
- Assist with preparation and execution of vulnerability scans using DoD-approved tools (for example, ACAS), and help document and track scan results.
- Help apply DISA STIGs and SRGs by running compliance checks and documenting identified deviations for senior staff review.
- Assist with the creation, organization, and uploading of RMF artifacts into the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
- Track and update Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms) entries based on guidance from senior engineers.
Skills and qualifications needed
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, plus 18 months of relevant experience
- IAT Level I
- Alternative path: HS Diploma and 4 years of relevant experience
