Job Description

Location: Jersey City, NJ (onsite). Salary: USD 152,000 - 260,000 per year. This role sits on JPMorganChase's Findings Analysis and Solutions Team (FAST) within CTC, focused on investigating security issues, performing root cause analysis, prioritizing remediation, and designing and presenting solutions to strengthen the firm's security posture.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate how vulnerabilities could impact business and technology operations using data-driven risk prioritization
  • Perform root cause analysis for security issues uncovered during assessments across diverse technologies and translate findings into actionable insights
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the firm to interpret findings and drive improvements to the security posture
  • Identify and develop technical, procedural, educational, or other interventions to effectively mitigate security issues
  • Communicate analysis, insights, and conclusions to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leaders, with clear explanations
  • Rank remediation efforts using multiple criteria to ensure the most impactful issues are addressed first

Requirements

  • Formal cybersecurity training or certification with a minimum of five years of experience
  • Experience building tools and capabilities across tactical, operational, and strategic domains
  • A strong, ongoing curiosity about cybersecurity and a drive to broaden technical skills
  • Proven initiative and resourcefulness in sourcing data for investigations and maintaining proactive work habits
  • Knowledge of or experience in offensive or defensive cybersecurity practices such as Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, Penetration Testing, Red Teaming, Risk Management, Cyber Engineering, Cyber Architecture, and Data Privacy; familiarity with network architecture concepts, including cloud architectures and deploying large-scale enterprise applications
  • Experience creating analytical processes, templates, and documentation; strong written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex problems into clear explanations
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior leaders, business stakeholders, vendors, and technical staff to articulate risk and drive change
  • A strong commitment to ethical practices and doing what is right
  • Technologies: Python, C, JavaScript, VBScript, firewalls, IDS/IPS, web proxies, DLP, SIEM, SOAR

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coding (scripting) experience in languages such as Python, C, JavaScript, and VBScript
  • Experience with enterprise level security technologies like firewalls, IDS/IPS, web proxies, DLP, SIEM, SOAR, and others
