Join Accenture in Pittsburgh, PA onsite and help modernize application security for cloud-first environments. This role focuses on secure-by-default practices, automation, and AI-powered approaches to protect modernized applications across the full lifecycle. You will work directly with clients to translate security needs into cloud-ready architectures and practical, scalable security solutions.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong client relationships through direct engagement, translating client security requirements for modernized applications into actionable plans.
Design modern security architectures for applications such as .NET, Linux web apps, Java apps, and SQL databases, supporting secure-by-default, scalable deployments in cloud environments.
Provide hands-on expertise during migration of legacy applications to cloud environments, ensuring compliance and security standards are met.
Apply deep application security knowledge to address security challenges tied to cloud migration and modernization.
Integrate security within DevSecOps and implement security through the secure SDLC.
Deliver modern application security solutions, including the implementation of AI agents and Harnesses.
Conduct comprehensive security assessments with emphasis on modernized environments.
Take ownership of significant engagement components, with an increased scope possible for smaller, critical projects.
Support engagement planning and ensure deliverables align with contract and work plan objectives.
Communicate client expectations to the engagement team and align execution with project security objectives.
Coach and develop junior application security practitioners while contributing reusable assets, methods, and thought leadership.
Identify and communicate opportunities to strengthen existing security frameworks as part of ongoing client engagements.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in application security, with strong focus on modernizing security frameworks and implementing secure, scalable solutions in cloud environments using DevSecOps.
Minimum 3 years of experience in migrating, assessing, and securing .NET apps, Java apps, SAP apps, and/or SQL databases in cloud settings.
Minimum 3 years of experience with application security tooling, including SAST, SCA, DAST, ASPM, CNAPP, WAF, Secrets Scanning, Container Scanning, API Security Scanning, AI Security assessments, and Infrastructure as Code scanning.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years work experience). If an Associate’s degree, minimum 6 years work experience.
Travel may be required, varying from 0 to 100% based on business need and client requirements.
