Advisor I, Cybersecurity
Job Description
Support day-to-day cybersecurity operations while helping build a stronger cybersecurity operations foundation.
Responsibilities
- Monitor cybersecurity measures and security controls across networks, VPNs, cloud environments, and related technology systems.
- Support cybersecurity risk management for assigned IT areas by aligning work to established security standards and practices.
- Identify potential threats, vulnerabilities, and policy or regulatory concerns for escalation.
- Contribute to 24x7 SOC operations with a focus on Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) and vulnerability management.
- Triage and investigate security alerts, penetration attempts, and malware or virus activity; isolate faults, document findings, and escalate confirmed or higher-risk activity.
- Run testing for websites, applications, and systems/services; track defects, report results, and help diagnose performance, integration, or user-impacting issues.
- Support protective and resilience activities, including firewalls, encryption, malware protection, backup and recovery, archiving, and disaster recovery.
- Assist with cloud-based infrastructure and services, including virtual machines, networks, storage, monitoring, and security controls.
- Collect, organize, and analyze security and operational data using established tools, methods, and formats; prepare reports, identify trends, and support sound decisions.
- Create and maintain technical and user documentation; maintain backups; communicate issues promptly; coordinate with security experts, infrastructure owners, response teams, service providers, and technology partners.
- Research emerging threats, technologies, and industry practices; recommend practical improvements and expand knowledge through training, coaching, and hands-on learning.
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 1 or more years of experience with simple office or operational systems.
Preferred
- Experience supporting security monitoring, alert triage, vulnerability management, or incident response activities.
- Experience with AWS cloud security, cloud monitoring, or cloud service integration.
- Experience with JIRA Software, integration testing, continuous integration testing, or test automation frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise backup systems, backup and restore solutions, data recovery, or disaster recovery software.
- Experience with data tracking and logging, data manipulation, data pipeline design, or ETL solutions.
- Ability to identify practical process improvements, learn new technology quickly, and apply established tools and techniques to new situations.
- Background aligned to: cybersecurity, network security, vulnerability management, secure networks and VPNs, malware protection, backup and recovery, cloud infrastructure, IT testing, technical documentation, threat assessment, and data collection and analysis.

Compensation
- $96,300 – $117,700 per year (base salary range)
