Job Description
General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Zero-Trust & Cybersecurity Engineer to support USPACOM J6 enterprise IT mission partner interoperability and Pacific theater operations. This onsite role at JBPH-H focuses on planning and engineering MPE network capabilities and translating Zero Trust principles into practical network and cybersecurity designs that meet Department of Defense cybersecurity compliance needs.
Role Focus
- Support enterprise IT activities for USPACOM J6, with emphasis on mission partner interoperability and operations across the Pacific theater.
- Meet DoW cybersecurity compliance requirements while aligning modernization efforts with enterprise architecture direction and operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Plan, engineer, and support MPE network capabilities aligned to MPE Network Engineering.
- Analyze network performance, interoperability, and resiliency needs across mission partner environments.
- Apply Zero Trust principles to network and cybersecurity design decisions, including identity, access, segmentation, visibility, and policy enforcement.
- Align modernization efforts with DoW cybersecurity compliance, operational needs, and enterprise architecture direction.
- Collaborate with USPACOM J6 stakeholders, service components, mission partners, and GDIT team members to resolve technical challenges.
- Produce clear technical documentation, briefings, status inputs, and recommendations for customer and internal leadership.
Requirements
- Technical training/certification(s) and 13+ years of relevant experience supporting the role, mission area, or equivalent DoW/enterprise IT environment, or B.S. in Computer Science and 8+ years of experience.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture, cybersecurity engineering, identity and access concepts, segmentation, and policy enforcement.
- Ability to support and adhere to DoW compliance requirements.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Strong communication, analytical problem-solving, technical writing, customer engagement, and coordination across engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and mission partner teams.
- Experience supporting USPACOM, combatant command, service component, or joint/coalition mission environments.
- Experience working in government site environments and coordinating with military and civilian stakeholders.
- DoD 8570/8140-aligned cybersecurity certification or comparable professional certification.
- U.S. Citizenship Required.

Compensation
The likely salary range for this position is USD 153,000 - 207,000 per year.
