Sr. Product Security Engineer

Support the security posture of medical devices by building product-wide protections, leading threat modeling, and enabling secure development from design through release.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cybersecurity controls across the full product lifecycle
• Work with engineering teams to embed secure development practices into the lifecycle
• Lead threat modeling and define security control designs for device features
• Partner with teams to implement OS and application hardening measures
• Create and maintain technical security documentation needed for regulatory submissions
• Lead vulnerability assessments and coordinate responses to newly discovered vulnerabilities
• Serve as a security subject matter expert across product teams, including training and mentoring

Requirements

• Extensive experience in software engineering or cybersecurity, with focus on product security for medical devices
• Knowledge of current FDA cybersecurity expectations for medical devices
• Demonstrated experience designing security architectures for embedded or connected systems
• Strong background in a secure development lifecycle and vulnerability management
• Experience applying risk management frameworks and understanding cryptography fundamentals
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead security initiatives

Preferred Skills

• Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or Systems Engineering

Compensation & Location

• Location: Burlington, MA (onsite)
• Salary: USD 186,600 - 188,600 per year
