Job Description

A senior level security engineering role in Plano, TX (onsite) with a salary range of USD 171,000 to 260,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing technical guidance to the business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors to align security with objectives
  • Develop secure, high-quality production code and review or debug code produced by others
  • Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations through strategic decisions
  • Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more security or engineering focus areas
  • actively contribute to the engineering community by promoting firmwide SDLC frameworks, tools, and practices
  • Encourage adoption of leading-edge technologies by peers and project decision-makers
  • Foster a culture that values diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
  • Leverage enterprise AI capabilities to accelerate security risk analysis and documentation, validate outputs, and ensure proper handling of sensitive data
  • Apply reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within SDLC/toolchain routines to strengthen security testing, traceability, and auditability

Requirements

  • Formal training and certification with 5+ years of experience building high performance API-first services and integrating tooling
  • Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability; proficient in two or more languages from C#, C++, Go, Python, and Java
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with deep expertise in at least one technical discipline (cloud, AI/ML, mobile, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS inspection, traffic interception, and API gateway patterns
  • Proven ability to build and scale distributed systems in a cloud-native environment with high throughput
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
  • Experience using enterprise AI capabilities to support security engineering workflows with strong validation and awareness of data sensitivity
  • Ability to review and validate AI-assisted security recommendations before adoption, ensuring alignment with security, resiliency, and auditability
