Sr. Cyber Security Analyst - Pen Tester

SYSTEMTEC is looking for a Sr. Cyber Security Analyst (Pen Tester) to support the Cyber Threat Intelligence (SecOps) team in a hybrid setup based in Columbia, SC. In this role, you will plan and execute security testing to identify vulnerabilities, simulate realistic attacker behavior, and validate real-world risk. What you’ll do

You will spend your time designing and running security tests across applications, systems, and infrastructure to uncover vulnerabilities before attackers can exploit them. Work often starts with reviewing scope and analyzing previous results, followed by running scans, investigating weaknesses, and compiling documented evidence to determine the real-world risk posed by findings.

The SecOps team includes experienced senior practitioners with hands-on backgrounds spanning penetration testing, assessment, threat hunting, forensics, and security operations.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of job-related technical experience, including Linux and penetration testing tools such as BurpSuite, MetaSploit, and Nessus.
• Strong incident response experience in a medium to large enterprise environment, including experience interpreting and acting on cyber threat intelligence.
• Preferred certifications: CISA, CISM, CISSP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience analyzing network attacks.
• Working understanding of system and network security, incident management, intrusion detection, log analysis, and related technologies.
• Ability to recognize and address new threats and security challenges as they arise.
• Capability to translate complex vulnerabilities into business-relevant risk and provide clear remediation guidance.

Location and schedule

This is a hybrid position in Columbia, SC (29201). You will work onsite Tuesday through Thursday and remote Monday and Friday.

Compensation and clearance

• Pay: $66.79 per hour (USD 66 - 79 hourly)
• Security clearance: Confidential (preferred)
