Job Description

The FBI is seeking a Special Agent candidate with cybersecurity and technology expertise to plan and conduct investigations involving cybersecurity and public safety threats. The position is based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and is performed onsite with travel as required.

Role Overview

As a Special Agent, you will use your background in technology and cybersecurity to support investigative activities tied to potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity issues, and threats to public safety. The role involves applying investigative judgment, coordinating with law enforcement partners, and maintaining readiness to perform law enforcement duties.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity, and public safety.
  • Apply judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
  • Establish and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies.
  • Maintain a level of physical fitness required for law enforcement duties.

Key Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
  • Must be willing to travel as required.
  • Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.

Education

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or higher (preferably in computer science, engineering, data science, information technology, or a related field) from a U.S. accredited college or university.

Salary

Pay level for this position: $103,326.00–$133,200.00 per year. Salary is commensurate with base, locality, and availability pay.
