Job Description
Build investigative impact in cybersecurity and public safety. This Special Agent position is based in Baltimore, MD (onsite) with work that includes travel as required. The FBI offers a full-time role and compensation of $103,326 to $133,200 per year, with pay commensurate with base, locality, and availability pay.
The position supports investigations into potential federal law violations involving cybersecurity and public safety, combining investigative planning with coordination across agencies.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws related to cybersecurity and public safety.
- Apply judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
- Create and maintain liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies.
- Maintain a level of physical fitness to support readiness to perform law enforcement duties.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
- Must be willing to travel as required.
- Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.
Education
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or higher (preferably in computer science, engineering, data science, information technology, or a related field) from a U.S. accredited college or university.
