Job Description

This onsite, full-time role in Newark, NJ offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $103,326 to $133,200, with pay determined by base, locality, and availability pay. As a Special Agent with cybersecurity and technology expertise, you will operate at the intersection of investigation and technology to counter cyber threats. The position emphasizes collaboration with a broad network of law enforcement partners at federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international levels and requires maintaining fitness to meet duty demands.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct investigations into potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity, and public safety.
- Apply judgment, resourcefulness, and adaptability to meet investigative demands.
- Develop and sustain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement partners.
- Maintain a level of physical fitness to support readiness for law enforcement duties.
Requirements
- U.S. citizen.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.
Education
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university, with a preferred focus in computer science, engineering, data science, information technology, or related fields.
