Special Agent: Cybersecurity/IT Expertise

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is seeking a Special Agent with strong cybersecurity and IT expertise for an onsite role in Baltimore. This position centers on conducting investigations, safeguarding critical systems, and contributing to national security by applying advanced technical skills to federal cyber and public safety cases. The role requires blending investigative judgment with hands-on IT capability to address evolving threats.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct investigations into potential federal law violations, cybersecurity incidents, and public safety concerns.
• Apply judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
• Develop and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement partners.
• Maintain the physical fitness required to perform law enforcement duties.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
• Must be willing to travel as required.
• Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.
• Must have a master's degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university.

Salary level

$103,236.00 - $133,200.00 per year. Salary is commensurate with base, locality, and availability pay.
