Job Description
Senior Cybersecurity Engineer position onsite in Tewksbury, MA, focused on defining security requirements, conducting vulnerability assessments, and ensuring RMF and A and A compliance.
Responsibilities
- Define security requirements and design secure solutions, providing guidance on security technologies.
- Analyze security data and test results to inform risk decisions.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to compliance and security posture.
- Define cybersecurity requirements, architecture artifacts, strategy, plans, and policy frameworks.
- Lead or provide oversight on vulnerability assessments and manage Assessment and Authorization events.
- Collaborate with program and engineering teams to evaluate cybersecurity solution options.
- Conduct cybersecurity audits to verify proper implementation and posture compliance.
- Plan and execute security development and testing efforts to implement controls across networking devices, databases, operating systems, and hardware/software components.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field plus 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with cybersecurity, compliance, and the NIST RMF framework.
- Active and transferable DoD Secret clearance required on day 1; U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
- Experience with security features and/or vulnerabilities of operating systems as defined by NSA, NIST, DISA STIGs, and USCYBERCOM.
- Experience with network and system security administration, including secure OS configuration and account management practices for Microsoft Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Cisco systems.
- Experience with NIST RMF as described in NIST SP 800-37.
