Senior Consultant - OT Cybersecurity & Critical Infrastructure Advisory

OT Cybersecurity & Critical Infrastructure Advisory Senior Consultant role helping utilities and other critical infrastructure organizations strengthen security, resilience, and operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead OT/ICS cybersecurity strategy, governance, and risk management engagements for critical infrastructure clients
• Perform OT and ICS cybersecurity assessments, maturity reviews, and risk evaluations
• Create cybersecurity roadmaps, implementation plans, investment strategies, and improvement programs
• Advise on recognized practices and frameworks, including ISA/IEC 62443, NIST CSF, NERC CIP, TSA, EPA, and applicable sector requirements
• Prepare for and support executive and board-level discussions on cyber risk, operational resilience, and investment priorities
• Develop secure OT, SCADA, industrial network, and IT/OT integration architectures
• Support modernization programs involving SCADA, AMI, IoT, communications, and operational technologies
• Design security-by-design approaches for capital projects and major infrastructure investments
• Provide technical leadership for network segmentation, secure remote access, monitoring solutions, and cyber resilience initiatives
• Manage multidisciplinary consulting engagements across North America
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, deliverables, and resource plans
• Coordinate with engineering, advisory, digital, automation, asset management, and technology teams
• Deliver technical reports, executive briefings, workshops, and client presentations
• Support project commercial performance, quality, and client satisfaction objectives
• Build and maintain relationships with utilities, public-sector organizations, transportation agencies, mining companies, and industrial clients
• Support proposal development, strategic pursuits, client interviews, and account growth initiatives
• Identify opportunities to expand GHD’s digital and critical infrastructure advisory services
• Contribute to market development, thought leadership, and industry engagement
• Mentor consultants and technical specialists across OT, cyber, digital, and engineering disciplines
• Support capability development and recruitment across GHD’s Americas business
• Promote a collaborative, inclusive, technically rigorous working environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Automation, Instrumentation, or a related discipline
• 10+ years of experience in OT, ICS, SCADA, industrial cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, or related consulting
• Experience leading complex consulting engagements and multidisciplinary project teams
• Strong understanding of industrial networks, operational technologies, cybersecurity architecture, and risk management frameworks
• Ability to translate technical cybersecurity issues into clear business and operational recommendations
• Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills
• Ability to travel periodically throughout North America

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional engineering registration or equivalent professional certification
• Experience within utility, water, transportation, mining, energy, manufacturing, or public-sector environments
• ISA/IEC 62443, CISSP, GIAC, SANS, or similar cybersecurity credentials
• Experience with SCADA modernization, AMI, digital transformation, systems integration, or operational technology programs
• Experience developing client relationships and contributing to business development in the United States
