Job Description
Security Specialist - Application Security with PNC Financial Services Group, onsite in Birmingham, AL, within the Technology organization and available in multiple U.S. locations.
Responsibilities
- Perform targeted technical evaluation and analysis within a defined security domain, supporting processes and tools to strengthen the organization's overall security posture; primary duties do not include architecture or engineering work.
- Apply security concepts, review information, execute assigned tasks, analyze requirements, inspect logs, and generate documentation.
- Conduct investigations related to data loss, data manipulation, and coordinate associated activities.
- Implement actions to mitigate risks and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Review and define security controls to govern risk exposure.
- Advise on complex security procedures and products for clients, security administrators, and network operations; participate in enforcing control security risks and threats; some controls may be subject to manager discretion; share knowledge with staff.
- Carry out security assessments and other information security routines on a consistent basis; investigate and propose corrective actions for data security in line with established guidelines.
- Develop policies and procedures to standardize security functions and eliminate potential vulnerabilities; ensure business needs are considered during development.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry-relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Transparency
Base Salary: $91,000.00 – $185,900.00 per year. Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data, and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with payout based on company, business and/or individual performance.
