Product Security Engineer - AI Trainer
Job Description
Join DataAnnotation as a Product Security Engineer - AI Trainer and help advance cybersecurity-focused AI. This contract role offers fully remote work with a flexible schedule, competitive hourly pay, and the chance to directly influence how AI models learn from security-relevant content. Projects are completed from your own computer with support through a platform designed for remote collaboration.

Compensation: $50 to $100 USD per hour
What you’ll do
- Review and evaluate AI-generated cybersecurity content, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques, to ensure real-world accuracy and validity.
- Design and solve security-focused technical problems that are used to train AI systems.
- Write clear technical explanations and produce security-relevant code.
- Deliver feedback that shapes future generations of AI security models.
What you bring
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or adjacent work, including government or military cyber operations.
- Some coding experience is required, with comfort navigating and patching a codebase.
- Fluency in English (native or bilingual level) and strong writing skills.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Certifications are a plus, such as OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, or similar.
