UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Analyst focused on Asset Discovery and ARMIS Asset Intelligence in Eden Prairie, MN with remote work options. Responsibilities

  • Operate enterprise asset intelligence platforms with hands on experience
  • Leverage platform capabilities to advance asset visibility, risk awareness, and data reliability
  • Understand how asset intelligence data is generated, normalized, and interpreted across large, complex networks
  • Apply solid enterprise networking concepts, architectures, and device communication patterns to asset discovery
  • Interpret network signals and telemetry to inform asset identification and behavior understanding
  • Validate completeness, accuracy, and consistency of discovered assets and escalate data quality issues
  • Contribute to initiatives that improve trust in asset data used for security, infrastructure, and operations
  • Understand how asset intelligence platforms integrate with broader enterprise systems and processes
  • Collaborate with network, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and platform teams to align asset data with business needs
  • Communicate technical findings clearly to stakeholders with varying levels of expertise
  • Apply structured analysis to investigate visibility gaps, discovery limitations, and data discrepancies
  • Support operational processes with consistent execution, documentation, and adherence to standards
  • Operate within a regulated, security sensitive environment with sound judgment
  • Produce clear documentation to support governance, audits, and transparency
  • Contribute to standards and best practices related to asset discovery and network visibility
  • Support risk management and compliance by providing fact based asset intelligence inputs
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking, attention to detail, and accountability in execution
  • Work independently and in cross functional teams, aligning daily work with enterprise objectives
  • Demonstrate hands on experience administering the ARMIS Asset Intelligence Platform in a large enterprise
  • Show understanding of ARMIS device discovery methods, data ingestion sources, and telemetry interpretation
  • Analyze ARMIS asset records for accuracy and consistency across network, IT, and security domains
  • Support ARMIS use cases for asset visibility, unmanaged device identification, and exposure analysis
  • Understand enterprise network architectures including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data centers
  • Work with core networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and NAT
  • Interpret network traffic and device behavior to support accurate asset classification
  • Validate discovered assets against known inventories and enterprise data sources
  • Identify gaps, duplicates, misclassifications, and stale records within ARMIS datasets
  • Contribute to data quality initiatives to improve coverage, accuracy, and trust
  • Collaborate with network, infrastructure, security, and platform teams to align ARMIS outputs with needs
  • Explain technical findings to both technical and non technical audiences
  • Troubleshoot ARMIS discovery issues, data discrepancies, and visibility gaps
  • Document assumptions and outcomes clearly for operational transparency
  • Support runbooks, standard operating procedures, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Operate effectively in regulated environments with defined controls and processes

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of hands on experience using ARMIS in an enterprise production environment
  • Experience working with asset discovery, inventory, or visibility data in large, complex environments
  • Foundational knowledge of enterprise networking concepts and network connected devices
  • Ability to analyze technical data and produce clear, accurate documentation
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a regulated, security conscious enterprise organization
