Responsibilities
- Perform internal and external penetration testing of networks, web applications, databases, and cloud services
- Manually exploit and compromise targets to include privilege escalation and lateral movement
- Identify vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and compliance issues
- Draft final reports and defend findings with risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and references
- Coordinate with developers, system administrators, project managers, and senior government stakeholders
- Provide security recommendations for developers, admins, project managers, and senior stakeholders
- Report vulnerabilities identified during security assessments
- Write penetration testing Rules of Engagements, Test Plans, and Standard Operating Procedures
- Produce actionable, threat-based reports on testing results
- Conduct security reviews and technical research to enhance defense measures
- Experience with NIST 800-53 and Risk Management Framework
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field
- 4+ years of related experience
- Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with an active polygraph
- Experience with NIST 800-53, NIST 800-115, and Risk Management Framework
- Desired Certifications: CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), CPT (Certified Penetration Tester)
- Strong writing skills
- Experience with AWS Cloud Security
- Location: McLean, VA, on customer site

Salary and Location
The expected salary range is USD 124,743 to 168,771 per year. Compensation is determined by experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements. This position is based onsite in McLean, VA.
Citizenship and travel requirements apply: U.S. citizenship is required, and travel is less than 10%.
