Penetration Tester

Landgraf Defense is building vulnerability assessment and penetration testing services for SMBs, and this founding role helps shape how security findings are delivered and acted on. This position is structured as a founding-partner equity opportunity with performance-based draws rather than a fixed W-2 salary, giving you upside as the business ramps in year one. The work is remote, with a flexible schedule, plus an employee assistance program.

What you’ll do

• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration tests for SMB clients.
• Produce and deliver findings reports that include remediation guidance.
• Provide security posture advisory to clients as a fractional resource.
• Support the continuous improvement of service packaging and help build technical credibility during client-facing meetings.

What you bring

• OSCP required (or actively pursuing); CEH and/or GPEN are a plus.
• Demonstrated hands-on offensive security experience or experience conducting vulnerability assessments.
• Comfort working directly with small-business clients, not only with internal technical teams.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to operate in a startup environment rather than an established services firm.

Compensation and location

Location: Remote

Pay: $40,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year (as revenue ramps in year one).

Structure: founding-partner equity plus performance-based draws, with upside tied directly to business growth. This is not a fixed W-2 salary role.
