Job Description

This on-site position in Chicago, IL leads offensive security engagements within RSM's Security, Privacy, and Risk Consulting practice, overseeing vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and secure architecture reviews across diverse operating environments. The role offers a salary range of USD 85,100 to 161,700 per year and requires at least four years of cybersecurity experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis and testing to assess the strengths and weaknesses of client IT environments using a mix of commercial and open-source security testing tools.
  • Conduct Internet penetration testing (blackbox, greybox, and whitebox) and network architecture reviews through manual and automated techniques.
  • Execute additional security testing activities such as wireless assessments, social engineering campaigns (email, web, phone, and physical), mobile application testing, embedded device testing, and related work to identify critical weaknesses.
  • Assist in developing remediation recommendations for identified findings.
  • Clearly articulate findings in both written and verbal formats to senior management and clients.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement for assigned clients.
  • Supervise and provide engagement management for other staff working on the engagements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in the cybersecurity field, with a preference for prior consulting or professional services backgrounds; other candidates may be considered based on experience and skill sets.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Demonstrated integrity and confidentiality, with the ability to adhere to company policies and security best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid multitasking and project management capabilities.
