Lead Systems Security Analyst

Lead Systems Security Analyst at GovCIO with an active Secret clearance, responsible for evaluating actions to implement customer security policy by developing plans and implementing solutions in a hybrid Arlington, VA environment.

Responsibilities

• Review security policies, directives, and vulnerability information to determine remediation plans.
• Determine and collaborate on technical solutions for remediating vulnerabilities within a large Enterprise.
• Lead a team to patch and deploy remediations and patches.
• Track and report on vulnerability remediation progress.
• Coordinate team efforts to address remediations in alignment with customer security policies and timelines.
• Utilize the Qualys vulnerability scanning tool to assess vulnerabilities and validate post-deployment remediation.
• Assist technical teams with baseline identification, scanning compliance, and remediation steps to achieve compliance.
• Work with System ISSOs to develop POAMs, address audit findings, and provide required security documentation and artifacts.
• Provide technical recommendations to remediation plans for identified events.
• Ensure security tools are deployed on all systems, including servers, laptops, and desktops, and collaborate with system administrators to install them if missing.

Requirements

• High School diploma with 10+ years of overall systems and/or network vulnerability remediation experience (or commensurate experience).
• Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and hold DEA suitability.
• Experience determining and/or collaborating on technical solutions for remediating vulnerabilities within a large Enterprise.
• 5+ years of leadership experience.
• Strong systems and/or network administration experience.
• Hands-on experience remediating vulnerabilities on systems and/or network infrastructure.
• Strong customer-facing and stakeholder communication skills.
