Lead Prisma Cloud Security Engineer
Job Description
Novacoast Staffing Services presents a fully remote leadership opportunity for a Lead Prisma Cloud Security Engineer who will steer cloud security outcomes for enterprise clients—from implementing Prisma Cloud and developing policies to mentoring junior engineers and advising client leadership. This role blends hands-on engineering with strategic consulting and occasional on-site collaboration, with travel expenses covered and onsite visits roughly once per quarter.
Responsibilities
- Direct client engagements to implement and/or manage Prisma Cloud across single-cloud or multi-cloud environments.
- Develop custom Prisma Cloud policies and APIs to meet specific client needs.
- Support container security using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Automate security processes within CI/CD pipelines.
- Create and deliver detailed technology solutions through consulting project activities.
- Strategize the migration of critical data, intellectual property, and high-demand applications to the public cloud.
- Advocate for customers on technical issues and maintain follow-up until resolution.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to troubleshoot, guide, and deploy solutions.
- As the Prisma Cloud Security Team grows, mentor Prisma Cloud Engagement Engineers for consistent client care, allocating 10-20% of time to mentorship.
- Write code and scripts as needed.
Requirements
- Extensive experience implementing and/or managing Prisma Cloud is required.
- Experience as a professional services engineer, consultant, DevOps Engineer, or DevSecOps engineer is preferred.
- Python scripting and Prisma Cloud Resource Query Language (RQL) scripting experience required; programming experience in NodeJS, Ruby, Chef, Puppet, YAML and/or JSON is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading and delivering security solutions in enterprise environments, specifically securing public cloud offerings.
- Experience in a senior engineering or lead capacity with mentorship responsibilities.
- Understanding of API-based security and compliance standards; familiarity with Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems and scripting.
- Mid to advanced-level experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with installation, configuration, and administration of security features and services in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency with cloud networking models, connectivity, network security, virtualization, and cloud computing.
- Experience automating pipelines in CI/CD environments.
- Comfort presenting to leadership and customers with strong consulting skills.
- Remote, full-time work with quarterly visits to the customer site.
