Lead Cybersecurity Architect

Lead cybersecurity architecture work at JPMorgan Chase, delivering cloud-enabled security solutions with analytics, risk insights, and AI-assisted validation across the SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Apply enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to speed up cybersecurity architecture analysis and decisioning (including risk identification and documentation); validate outputs and manage data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
• Define the technical target state for your cybersecurity product and drive progress against the strategy.
• Find opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring software application and system issues to strengthen overall cybersecurity.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to probe cybersecurity designs, technical credentials, and fit for existing systems and cybersecurity architecture.
• Drive communities of practice to promote awareness and adoption of new and leading-edge cybersecurity technologies.
• Lead reuse-first adoption of AI-assisted security validation within SDLC and toolchain routines, improving control testing and remediation quality with traceability/auditability and resiliency expectations.
• Conduct risk analysis behind key metrics such as exposure, likelihood, impact, control gaps, and threat trends, including root-cause analysis and clear explanations.
• Build analytics tools and products (dashboards, metric pipelines, reporting applications, self-service datasets) using modern engineering practices and agentic coding approaches to convert cybersecurity risk data into decision-ready insights for BISO organizations, CIO/CTO leaders, business stakeholders, and risk committees.
• Design data models and pipelines that combine multiple sources: security tooling, GRC platforms, asset inventories/CMDB, IAM, ticketing systems, cloud logs, and findings repositories, with strong controls for data quality, lineage, and repeatability.
• Establish and run an analytics operating cadence (weekly, monthly, quarterly) for risk reviews, including metric definitions, refresh schedules, exception management, and stakeholder sign-offs.
• Automate insight generation where feasible (anomaly detection, threshold-based alerts, auto-generated narratives, and drill-down workflows) to reduce manual reporting effort.

Requirements

• Formal training or certification on cybersecurity architecture plus 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience developing risk visualization capabilities and delivering enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions and controls.
• Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support cybersecurity architecture workflows, including validation habits and data-sensitivity awareness.
• Ability to assess and validate AI-assisted security recommendations before adoption, escalating uncertainty and ensuring alignment with security, resiliency, and auditability expectations.
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity risk management: threats, vulnerabilities, exposure, likelihood/impact, control design versus operating effectiveness, residual risk, and risk appetite/limits.
• Deep expertise in one or more programming language(s), software(s), and/or applications.
• Proficiency across SDLC execution, including automation/continuous delivery practices and agile methodologies such as continuous integration/delivery, application resiliency, and security.
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., public cloud, AI/ML, mobile), including practical cloud-native experience.
• Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies and recommend best-fit future-state architecture options.
• Experience communicating effectively with senior business leaders.

Salary: USD 156,750 - 215,000 per yearly
