Junior Cybersecurity Analyst

Claris Consulting Inc. is hiring a Junior Cybersecurity Analyst in Honolulu, HI (hybrid) to support security assessments and client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities
• Support network, system, and application security reviews
• Run vulnerability scanning and security assessment tools under supervision
• Research vulnerabilities, threats, and remediation approaches
• Help document technical findings and recommendations for clients
• Support cybersecurity risk and control assessments
• Collect and organize evidence for client security assessments
• Assist with cybersecurity policies, procedures, and supporting documentation
• Support incident response and security investigations as needed
• Participate in client meetings and technical discussions
• Learn and apply cybersecurity frameworks including NIST and CIS Controls
• Participate in internal training, labs, and professional development activities

Requirements

• 0–2 years of cybersecurity, IT, networking, systems administration, or related experience
• Foundational understanding of networking, operating systems, and cybersecurity concepts
• Strong interest in building a career in cybersecurity
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to learn new technologies and cybersecurity tools
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Strongly Preferred

• Hawaii-based candidate
• Bachelor’s degree or coursework in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field
• Security+, Network+, CCNA, CySA+, or similar entry-level certification
• Interest in pursuing CISSP as career experience requirements are met
• Cybersecurity internship, help desk, networking, systems administration, military, or technical support experience
• Experience with cybersecurity labs, CTFs, Hack The Box, TryHackMe, or similar hands-on training
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux
• Government or defense experience or eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance

Compensation

• USD 75,000 - 80,000 per year
