IT compliance and Security Analyst

Join Ford Motor Company in a hybrid role helping strengthen IT security, resilience, and compliance across Ford Credit. You will support Second Line of Defense activities by partnering with application teams, addressing audit findings, and helping ensure systems align with financial industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Work model: Hybrid in Dearborn, MI, with a requirement to be onsite four or more days per week (#LI-Hybrid).
Job type: Full time.
Compensation: Salary grade 8, $115,000 to $192,900 per year, based on skills and experience.

What you’ll focus on

The IT Compliance and Information Security Analyst provides oversight of IT compliance and regulatory requirements, IT security and controls, and support to application teams. The position includes audit support, risk management, and remediation of identified gaps, along with ongoing work to maintain accurate tracking in JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Credit Application Teams to implement and manage IT controls.
• Provide security and control consulting to application teams.
• Support Internal Audit and Third-Party Audit activities.
• Support Credit internal controls with IT-related controls and deficiencies.
• Manage issues identified by audit and application teams, including development, implementation, and sustainability of action plans.
• Conduct reviews of identified IT-related audit deficiencies.
• Support application teams with detailed risk assessments and threat modeling.
• Support Third-Party Risk Management and business owners for supplier onboarding and IT services due diligence.
• Support Credit privacy and compliance attorneys with IT-related regulatory requirements.
• Support third-party consulting engagements.
• Maintain accurate JIRA user stories and backlog.
• Ensure the organization meets specific financial industry standards and requirements, including Ford Credit Bank Requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information security, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Ford and industry standard IT controls and best security practices.
• Experience with regulatory frameworks including SOX, NIST, or ISO 27001.
• Understand risk and implement mitigating controls.
• Knowledge of risk management principles (risk assessment, mitigation, reporting).
• Leadership skills and results orientation.
• Continuous controls process improvement mindset.
• Integrity and the ability to stand ground for correct action.
• Ability to take ownership and accountability.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with effective collaboration.
• Strong analytical skills to assess complex IT systems and identify compliance gaps and risks.
• Ability to draft and update security procedures based on evolving threats and trends.

Even better if you have

• 5+ years of progressive experience in information security, IT risk, Compliance within banking or financial services
• 2+ years of IT Auditor experience
• Proven record in IT security and controls, demonstrated strong controls
• Experience in the Financial Services sector
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate technical compliance issues to any audience
• Experience with GRC & audit tools
• Understanding of AI/LLM technologies and proven ability to drive AI integration across the compliance lifecycle
• Industry certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP (plus)
