Job Description
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is seeking qualified candidates for an FBI Special Agent role centered on cybersecurity and information technology expertise. This position supports investigations and national security priorities through applied cyber defense, encryption-focused knowledge, and threat detection using SIEM tools and vulnerability analysis.
Role Overview
As an FBI Special Agent with cyber-focused expertise, you will plan and conduct high-impact investigations involving potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity, and public safety. The work includes protecting against cyberattacks and evolving threats, with emphasis on encryption, threat detection, and vulnerability analysis.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity, and public safety.
- Use judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
- Develop and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies.
- Maintain a level of physical fitness to support readiness for law enforcement duties.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
- Must be willing to travel as required.
- Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.
- Must hold a master’s degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university.

Compensation and Employment Details
- Salary range: USD 103,236 - 133,200 per yearly
- Pay level: $103,236.00 - $133,200.00

- Salary note: Salary is commensurate with base, locality, and availability pay.
