Job Description

The FBI seeks a seasoned cybersecurity professional to serve as a Special Agent focused on information security and cyber investigations, leveraging SIEM expertise to defend national interests.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct investigations into potential violations of federal law, cybersecurity incidents, and public safety concerns.
  • Apply judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
  • Develop and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement partners.
  • Maintain physical fitness to meet the readiness requirements of law enforcement duties.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizen
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Meets FBI Employment Eligibility requirements
  • Master's degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university

Job Description

As an FBI special agent with information security and SIEM experience, you will directly influence national security by applying your cybersecurity background to federal law enforcement. The role supports protecting the nation from cyber threats, terrorism, fraud, and evolving risks. Your expertise in networking, certifications such as CompTIA, and ethical hacking can contribute to the Bureau’s approach to safeguarding the United States. The position involves conducting high-stakes investigations and shaping cyber defense strategies within the FBI.

Location and Compensation

  • Location: San Francisco, CA onsite
  • Salary: USD 103,236 – 133,200 per year
