Job Description

As a Data Security Engineer, Senior, you will architect, deploy, and configure data security solutions for DoD, IC, and civilian federal clients, building architectures that follow Zero Trust principles and IC data header guidelines, and collaborating with stakeholders across agency and delivery teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and configure data security solutions for DoD, IC, and civilian federal clients.
  • Develop architectures that meet client requirements in line with Zero Trust practices and IC data header guidelines.
  • Collaborate with agency personnel and internal delivery and engineering teams to align security outcomes with mission needs.
  • Assist in creating custom data control policies to enforce positive data handling across hybrid cloud environments.

Requirements

  • 3+ years designing, deploying, and configuring data security solutions.
  • Experience with Data Security Posture Management tools such as Varonis or BigID.
  • Experience with Data Loss Prevention tools such as Forcepoint, Trellix, or Symantec.
  • Experience with data labeling and tagging solutions such as Purview, Fortra, or Titus.
  • Experience documenting and diagramming technical architectures.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • HS diploma or GED.

Clearance

TS/SCI clearance is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Compensation

Projected annualized compensation ranges from $86,800 to $198,000 USD, with final pay determined by location, education, experience, and contract-specific needs.

Identity and AI policy

As part of the hiring process, Booz Allen may require identity verification using biometrics and artificial intelligence. Interviews may be conducted on camera, and Booz Allen reserves the right to capture your image for identity verification. AI usage is allowed in daily work but is prohibited during interviews unless explicit permission is provided to ensure a fair candidate process.

Work model

  • Onsite: Primarily at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, collaborating with colleagues and clients as required.
  • Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer facilities as needed.
  • Remote: Some duties may be performed remotely, with occasional in-person work at Booz Allen or customer facilities as needed.
