Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity (Transactional Privacy)

Join Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati’s Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity team and advise clients through privacy, data processing, and cybersecurity needs that arise in high-stakes corporate and technology deals. The role is based in Austin, TX (onsite), with a salary range of USD 225,000 to 420,000 per year, based on year classification, and may include discretionary merit bonuses.

What you’ll do

You’ll work on the full range of privacy, data processing, and cybersecurity matters tied to corporate and technology transactions. Responsibilities include advising on deals across the transactional lifecycle, including:

• Privacy, data processing, and cybersecurity support for mergers and acquisitions
• Advising on public offerings and other commercial and strategic transactions
• Partnering with an industry-leading team advising private and public companies of all sizes
• Handling matters that intersect with artificial intelligence and machine learning, cloud computing, software, and fintech

What you bring

• 1-7 years of experience
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, technology transactions, or other transactional work
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Superior academic credentials
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Compensation and benefits

Salary range: $225,000 to $420,000 per year (based on year classification). Bonuses: Discretionary merit bonuses may also be awarded.
