Job Description
Odyssey Consulting is seeking a Cybersecurity Test Manager SE-3 to support the 48th Cyberspace Test Squadron at Edwards AFB, CA. In this onsite role, you will coordinate cybersecurity test and evaluation for embedded avionics and weapons systems, helping ensure results are planned, executed, and documented for decision-makers.
This position focuses on end-to-end cyber DT&E coordination, including planning and authoring test plans, partnering with penetration testers to develop detailed procedures, and managing test artifacts, findings, and verification activities.
Role Focus
- Cybersecurity test and evaluation of embedded avionics and weapons systems across multiple Air Force platforms
- Coordinate processes and resources to identify cybersecurity vulnerabilities in Department of War weapons systems
- Support integrated test team activities to establish test objectives aligned to System Program Office and operational test customer requirements
- Coordinate with organizational leadership and technical editors to author test plans supporting established objectives
- Develop and document detailed test procedures with aircraft penetration testers in test execution guidance cards
- Play a key role in test execution and ensure results are thoroughly documented
Responsibilities
- Lead Cyber Working Group activities and coordinate cyber DT&E across program management, engineering, intelligence, system security engineering, operational test, and cyber test organizations
- Develop and maintain cyber DT&E strategies, roadmaps, schedules, resource estimates, and TEMP/T&E strategy inputs
- Conduct or support MBCRAs, attack-surface characterization, criticality analysis, and threat-informed cyber test planning
- Plan, coordinate, and execute integrated, concurrent, cooperative, and adversarial cyber test events for aircraft avionics, weapons systems, data links, and supporting infrastructure
- Conduct cyber test readiness reviews and ensure required test plans, rules of engagement, authorizations, data-collection methods, restoration procedures, and test resources are in place
- Manage cyber test data, test artifacts, findings, deficiency reports, corrective actions, verification-of-fix activities, and regression testing
- Evaluate and report cyber resilience, mission impact, and residual risk to program offices and other decision-makers
- Support cyber DT&E inputs to acquisition, contracting, engineering, program-protection, and sustainment activities
Qualifications
- US citizenship
- Secret clearance required; ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI eligibility required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, cybersecurity, project management, or a related discipline
- IAT Level II required
- Ability to develop cyber test documentation and coordinate cybersecurity test events
- Ability to work effectively as part of a test team and support penetration testing activities
- TS/SCI
- IAT Level III
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting cyber DT&E for Department of War systems
- Experience planning, preparing, executing, evaluating, and reporting cyber test events
- Experience developing test plans, objectives, procedures, test cards, data-collection plans, schedules, and reports
- Understanding of aircraft avionics, navigation, communications, and data links
- Knowledge of system architecture, protocols, data flows, interfaces, hardware/software configurations, and systems engineering processes
- Familiarity with vulnerability assessments, STIG compliance, penetration testing, adversarial testing, and cyber TTPs
- Ability to coordinate and execute cooperative and adversarial cyber tests
- Ability to manage cyber test artifacts, deficiency reports, corrective actions, and regression testing
- Proficiency developing test objectives, test procedures, data-collection plans, and test reports
- Experience supporting MBCRAs, attack-surface characterization, and criticality analysis
- Understanding of aircraft avionics, navigation, communications, and data links (preferred)
- Working knowledge of system architectures, network protocols, data flows, interfaces, hardware/software configurations, and systems engineering processes (preferred)
- Familiarity with vulnerability assessments, STIG compliance, penetration testing, adversarial testing, and attacker tools/TTPs (preferred)

- Travel: up to 20% CONUS/OCONUS TDY

- Salary: USD 135,000 - 150,000 per year
