Cybersecurity Technical Writer - AI Trainer
Job Description
DataAnnotation seeks an existing cybersecurity technical writer to support AI training as an AI Trainer. The role focuses on reviewing AI-generated cybersecurity content and contributing security-focused explanations and feedback that help models perform safely and effectively against real-world threats and defenses.
Responsibilities
- Assess AI-generated cybersecurity content, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques, with an emphasis on real-world accuracy and validity.
- Develop and solve security-focused technical problems used to train AI systems.
- Create clear technical explanations and provide security-relevant code as part of model training materials.
- Deliver feedback intended to directly influence the next generation of AI security models.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role, such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or adjacent fields, including government or military cyber operations.
- Some coding experience; comfort navigating and patching a codebase is important.
- Fluency in English (native or bilingual level) with strong writing skills.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Cybersecurity certifications are a plus, for example OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, and similar.
