DataAnnotation is seeking an experienced cybersecurity technical writer to support AI training efforts in a contract capacity. This role focuses on reviewing AI-generated cybersecurity material and contributing technical feedback that helps AI systems reason about real-world threats and defenses.

Role Overview

As an AI Trainer and Cybersecurity Technical Writer, you will evaluate outputs produced by AI systems for accuracy and validity, build security-focused training problems, and provide clear written explanations and code that support model improvement.

Responsibilities

Assess AI-generated cybersecurity content, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques, with an emphasis on real-world accuracy and validity.
Design and solve security-focused technical problems used to train AI systems.
Produce clear technical explanations and security-relevant code.
Deliver feedback that directly influences how AI security models improve for future deployments.

Requirements

2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role, such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or closely related fields, including government or military cyber operations.
Some coding experience is required, including comfort navigating and patching a codebase.
English fluency (native or bilingual) with strong technical writing skills.
A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Cybersecurity certifications are a plus, such as OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, or similar credentials.
