CyberSecurity Systems Engineer (VmWare)

PRI Technology is seeking a CyberSecurity Systems Engineer with VMware expertise to join its onsite team in East Hanover, New Jersey. This full-time role sits with a mid-size consulting firm that designs, deploys, and supports IT and cybersecurity solutions, including VMware virtualization. The position emphasizes hands-on engineering across security, virtualization, cloud, and continuity planning for both IT and OT environments.

Responsibilities

• Support and deploy a range of IT business solutions spanning Cyber Security, Virtualization, and Cloud
• Conduct Cyber Security Audits, Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Assessments, Attack Simulations, and Threat Hunting
• Deploy and support cloud-based Cyber Security solutions in AWS and Azure
• Assist in the deployment of SOC and SIEM integration
• Configure and deploy emerging on-premises and cloud Cyber Security solutions, including Content Disarm and Reconstruction (CDR), Vulnerability Assessment, IDS/IPS, Next-Gen Firewalls, Threat Intelligence tools, and more
• Strengthen security posture to align with HIPAA, PCI, and NERC CIP compliance
• Secure Critical Infrastructure on OT networks
• Design, deploy, and support VMware virtualization – ESXi, VMware Horizon, and HA Clusters
• Develop and implement Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity solutions
• MSP/MSSP activities – Monitor, support, and maintain customer networks and security solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security or a relevant field
• Network and systems experience (3+ years)
• Cyber Security experience for IT and OT networks (3+ years)
• Bare metal install and support of VMware ESXi
• English written and verbal communication skills

Compensation

Salary: USD 93,249.40 - 112,300.35 per year
