Cybersecurity Product Engineer
Job Description
Leidos is hiring a Cybersecurity Product Engineer to build distinctive solutions for cyber, EW, and PNT threats targeting weapon systems and related technologies at the tactical edge. This full-time role supports the Leidos Cyber Electromagnetic Activity (CEMA) team, based in Huntsville, Alabama, and requires a TS/SCI Clearance.
In this onsite position in Lawton, OK, you will contribute to a customer-focused cyber operations platform by creating techniques for sustained use in designated environments, integrating tools, and developing both detection logic and operational tooling. The annual compensation range is USD 87,100 - 157,450, with an expected minimum of 4 years of professional development experience.
Responsibilities
- Create procedures and techniques for ongoing use of a cyber operations platform in a customer-designated environment.
- Evaluate, select, and integrate open-source cyber tools into a cyber operations platform.
- Develop new algorithms for IDS/IPS systems to detect malicious behavior.
- Build graphical cyber dashboards and tools to improve visibility into monitored cyber activities.
- Develop custom installers intended to support tactical edge systems with minimal potential of failure.
Requirements
- 4-8 years of professional development across various programming languages, with proof of capability via GitHub, printed materials, or provided media.
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
- Ability to write software and scripts in languages including Python, BASH, C++, HTML, or JavaScript.
- Experience dissecting network protocols using Wireshark and other tools.
- Experience with virtualization and containerization tools such as Vagrant, Docker, Podman, VirtualBox, and Kubernates.
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for a cybersecurity solution.
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Make, and Jira.
- Understanding of cyber security concepts and agile software development.
- Ability to work independently to deliver software in a timely manner.
