As a Cybersecurity Product Engineer on the Leidos CEMA team, you will contribute to the development of an advanced cyber operations ecosystem, aligning technical design with customer environments while maintaining the highest security standards. This position requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
Compensation
Salary range: USD 69,550 to 125,725 per year
Responsibilities
- Develop procedures and techniques for the ongoing use of a cyber operations platform within a customer designated environment.
- Assess, select, and integrate open source cyber tools to enhance the platform’s capabilities.
- Create new algorithms used in IDS/IPS systems to detect malicious behavior.
- Build graphical dashboards and tools to improve understanding of cyber activities monitored by the platform.
- Develop custom installers to provide tactical edge systems with minimal potential for failure.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of professional development across multiple programming languages, demonstrated via GitHub, printed samples, or other media.
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
- Ability to write software and scripts in Python, BASH, C++, HTML, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with dissecting network protocols using Wireshark and related tools.
- Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies such as Vagrant, Docker, Podman, VirtualBox, and Kubernetes.
- U.S. citizen able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
