Cybersecurity Forward Deployed Engineer - FDE Senior Manager

Senior Manager level Cybersecurity Forward Deployed Engineer embedded in client environments to secure, govern, and scale AI deployments, owning end-to-end security design, governance, and delivery across AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Architect and model security for production agentic AI deployments across complex client environments, including LLMs, multi-agent pipelines, RAG architectures, and MLOps, overseeing the full security design from assessment to hardened rollout.
• Perform hands-on security engineering in the primary development environment powered by agentic coding tools; build AI driven detection systems, automated threat response tooling, security assessment frameworks, and governance automation using Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot in daily work.
• Oversee AI specific threat surface management at program scale, implementing OWASP LLM Top 10 controls, hardening prompt injection, preventing model extraction, defending against adversarial inputs, and securing the AI supply chain across concurrent client workstreams.
• Design and govern AI security controls across the enterprise stack, including identity and access for AI systems, data pipelines, model serving security, and cross-system integration risk across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Drive the implementation of AI governance frameworks, including EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and model risk management applied to live production environments.
• Articulate a security strategy for AI reinvention to client CISOs and CTOs, developing risk-adjusted investment cases, architecture roadmaps, and AI governance operating models aligned with business outcomes.
• Create and share reusable security patterns, playbooks, and accelerators to scale across client engagements and grow the Secure AI practice.
• Facilitate architecture design reviews, threat modeling workshops, and collaborative coding sessions with client engineers and security leaders.
• Demonstrate cybersecurity expertise in at least one domain such as application security, security operations, IAM, cloud security, governance, risk, and compliance, or offensive security.
• Develop proposals and statements of work, shape solutions, and engage with clients on commercial aspects.
• Facilitate executive workshops and communicate with C-suite and CISO level stakeholders.
• Apply structured, hypothesis-driven problem decomposition and analytical thinking in project work.
• Lead teams by mentoring managers and engineers, including performance management and career development conversations.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of engineering experience in production environments with depth in one cybersecurity discipline such as application security, security operations and detection engineering, cloud security, IAM, offensive security or penetration testing, or governance, risk, and compliance.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience designing and deploying agentic AI solutions in production; theoretical familiarity does not qualify.
• At least 8 years delivering end-to-end security ownership in client-embedded or production settings; internal advisory or compliance-only roles do not qualify.
• At least 8 years working with cloud platform security fundamentals across AWS, Azure, or GCP, including IAM, network security, secrets management, and AI service security configurations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (minimum 12 years). If holding an Associate's Degree, a minimum of 6 years of work experience is required.
• Ability to translate security risk into business terms and present risk-adjusted investment rationales suitable for CISO or CFO decision making.
• Experience leading people, including coaching managers and engineers, performance management, and career development conversations.
