Job Description

Lockheed Martin Corporation invites applications for a full-time Cybersecurity Engineer - Early Career to support the THAAD program in Huntsville, Alabama. The role emphasizes applying cybersecurity across the lifecycle and collaborating with engineering teams to secure system design and integration.

Location

Huntsville, Alabama, onsite.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field.

Responsibilities

  • Implement cybersecurity on tactical products and systems.
  • Collaborate with systems engineering, software engineering, and product teams to design secure systems throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to planning, design, development, validation, and verification of cybersecurity solutions across the lifecycle.
  • Serve as the cyber representative to non-cyber teams to support requirements understanding, engagement, and solution identification and implementation.
  • Contribute to the development of Cyber Plans and Procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a related technical field.
  • Hold DoD 8140 IAT Level II or higher certification (for example Security+, GSEC) or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Demonstrated problem solving with a systems-thinking approach to cybersecurity issues.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • Understanding of IT fundamentals.
  • U.S. citizenship; this position requires a government security clearance.

Work Location

Work Schedules

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules. Standard full-time effort covers 40 hours over five days, with options for condensed schedules that provide additional time away from the office, in addition to paid time off benefits.
