What you’ll do

You will support cybersecurity operations across enterprise environments by hardening systems, improving compliance posture, and driving remediation from assessment to resolution.

• Perform system hardening on Windows and Linux systems in line with DoD security requirements and industry best practices.
• Implement and maintain Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) across supported systems and environments.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and related cybersecurity tools.
• Analyze, prioritize, and remediate cybersecurity vulnerabilities and security findings, including patching as required.
• Apply vendor patches and security updates for both Linux and Windows environments.
• Support cybersecurity compliance initiatives and continuous monitoring activities.
• Maintain documentation for system configurations, remediation actions, and cybersecurity assessments.
• Collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, and cybersecurity teams to resolve security issues and strengthen system security posture.
• Support audits, inspections, and cybersecurity reviews as required.

What you’ll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Cyber Operations, Cyber Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent discipline.
• IAT II certification from one or more of: CCNA, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, SSCP.
• 5 years of full-time professional experience performing system hardening, including demonstrated experience with STIG implementation, ACAS-based vulnerability assessments, security management policy guidance and directives, and remediation of vulnerability findings including vendor patches on both Linux and Windows.
• Secret Clearance requirement.
